Wayne’s Story in His Own Words

Posted on: October 19th, 2015 by Wayne Jacobsen No Comments

For those of you interested in my personal story and how I went from being someone deeply involved in institutional church life to someone who found himself out side of it, you’ll find this new interview very helpful to understand my journey and how I’ve come to the conclusions I write and speak about. The entire journey has been a continual drawing inside the heart of the Father, though I had no idea where it would lead at the outset, nor where it might take me from here.

This interview was recorded last month in Indiana by some documentary filmmakers, who wanted to talk to me for one of their projects. They will be taking excerpts from this interview, but the recorded the entire thing and made it available for people who would be interested. It explains things about as clearly as I’ve ever explained them and hope they are an encouragement to others to risk the road less traveled and see what God has in mind for them.

New Video: What Is the Church?

One year ago today, I released my latest book, FINDING CHURCH. It has spawned many a conversation about the nature of the church and how to find the one Jesus is building, rather than the one humanity has created out of their own human ingenuity. I’m going to give some time and attention this winter to helping people explore these themes and discover that the church is closer to them than they ever dared to believe.

A few weeks ago I did a lengthy interview about by life and writings for some documentary filmmakers in Indiana. Out of the hour and twenty minutes we spent talking by a campfire on a late summer’s evening, they pulled some clips to make this 50 second video as a promotion for FINDING CHURCH. This piece is designed for people who found the book helpful in their own journey, to pass it on through social media.
